Based on traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation, Hasami Porcelain was born under the direction of Takuhiro Shinomoto. Clean lines, organic textures and multifunctional design define Hasami Porcelain.
Inspired by traditional stacked boxes, the modular products are easily stacked for efficient storage. Throughout the production process, the pieces are passed through the hands of various craftsmen, and finally stamped by hand to give them the distinctive appearance that is characteristic of Hasami Porcelain.

Please note: Due to the organic nature of the porcelainware used for Hasami, unavoidable variations, color unevenness and what Hasami craftspeople call "staining" appear in all Hasami Porcelain products. Variations are the result of uncontrollable chemical reactions between the glaze and the raw materials during the extreme firing process.
